Our chapter has many ongoing activities through the year, including these:
- APRIL 29, 2000- The Town of Ninety Six has scheduled a Town Wide Yard Sale at the Depot Downtown,
and our chapter will be setup inside the depot with Hotdogs and Hotdog plates, homemade baked goods, and plenty of used items. We depend on donations as our sole source of income for our club. If you have anything to donate, please contact us at the address/phone shown on this site. Thank You.
- JULY 17, 1999- We had an ice cream/hot dog social at the home of the chapter president Ms. Joyce Moreland, located @ 204 Park Street, Ninety Six, SC. The social started at 11 am and included games, prizes, food and plenty of fun. Everyone had a great time, and we had a really large turnout. Hopefully anyone who missed will be there next time.
- APRIL 24, 1999- The Town of Ninety Six had a Town Wide Yard Sale at the Depot Downtown,
and our chapter was setup inside the depot with Hotdogs and Hotdog plates, homemade baked goods, and plenty of used items, including lots of nice furniture. It was a HUGE success. We sold over 200 hotdogs, doubling the normal number of hotdogs sold at any one time. Most of the furniture was sold, and all but one cake was sold, and what was left was sent to a local place that provides services for men with alcohol problems. We depend on donations as our sole source of income, and this fundraiser raised over $500 for our club. We want to thank the people who came and gave us their donations and those who bought the things from us. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
- Are you one of the millions who consume Hash and BBQ every year on those special occasions?
Well, we have good news for you. We usually have a supply of homemade hash on hand, and we have
fresh batches made usually at least 2 times a year. Contact us if you would like to stop by and pick some
up today.
- Also, right now we are having a membership drive. We are searching for legally blind and totally blind folks that we
can help in the Greenwood and surrounding areas. Do you know of someone who has lost their sight? There are many free
forms of assistance available. Don't let that person be a recluse today. Pass this information on to them, or simply drop us
an email or snail mail today and we will be glad to give them any information. Or if they prefer, please contact any of our
officers listed, and they will be glad to be of any assistance that they can.
- Also, we will be having a picnic at Lake Greenwood, bowling and other social activities throughout the year.
So, please be watching this page for further updates on our activities, and reports on the fun you are missing if you're not with us.
